What to expect on your first visit:
Health History
The first step for a new Chiropractic patient is to fill in a complete
health history form. Old injuries, chronic problems and your present
symptoms are recorded. Members of our staff are always available for a
complete and thorough discussion.
Consultations
After reviewing your health history, the Doctor will meet with you to
discuss your problems and determine how they can be best treated
through Chiropractic care. Prospective patients are questioned by the
Doctor about how physical strains have affected their health.
Examination
You will receive a thorough examination consisting of orthopedic,
neurological, physical and Chiropractic tests. Checking the spinal
range of motion is a regular part of the physical exam. Subluxations
are determined by careful analysis of X-rays, palpation of the soft
tissue of the spine, range of motion studies, and tests with
instruments.
X-rays
After the doctor has completed a thorough examination to assess each
patient’s condition, they will then decide if X-rays are necessary. Our
office uses full length X-rays of the spine while the patient is
standing. Standing X-rays show the spine in its natural, weight bearing
state. X-rays will allow the doctor to determine if you have arthritis,
disc degeneration pathologies, or a condition that may be contradictory
to treatment. Our office utilizes the very latest in digital X-ray and
radiographic technology available today
Report of the Doctors Findings
Typically, patients are seen either the following day or two days after
their initial exam at a time that is convenient for them. On the
second visit, the doctor will review all of the findings of the
examination and x-rays with you and explain everything in great detail
in order for you to completely understand your specific case. The
doctor will also make treatment recommendations that address your
needs. Insurance benefit coverage and payment arrangements will also be
discussed on this visit so that charges and financial obligations are
never a mystery to you. The choice of going through with care is made
by you. Following your decision, you will then be provided with your
first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy,
massage therapy or other soft tissue therapies.
Insurance and Payment Plans
Our office gladly accepts most insurance plans. Our staff is well
trained in all aspects of insurance regulations and is ready to help
you understand and utilize your insurance coverage. Auto accident and
worker’s compensation insurance pays up to 100% in most cases. Those
who do not have insurance need not worry. We have very affordable rates
and accommodating payment plans available. We accept Visa &
Mastercard.
